## In Robert's words

The word I used in that release was roadblocks, and I chose it on purpose. My family came here from the Balkans as refugees and started over with nothing, and I've hit most roadblocks a founder can hit. My teenage startups failed. I worked 18-hour shifts. We built the company without outside investors and grew from #418 to #35 on the Inc. 5000. By 2025 I wanted to take what we'd learned and open ownership to more people around the world. In 2026 I stepped away to work on SDG 8 & 9, where many of the oldest roadblocks are policy.

## Key takeaways

- A plan for access: Technology to make ownership reachable for more people.
- Built on results: The release cites #35 and 7,191% three-year growth.
- Roadblocks removed: Robert's mission: remove outdated barriers worldwide.

## Where this fits in his story

- 2011: First platform launched
- 2018: Relaunched as a full platform
- 2023: Inc. 5000 debut at #418
- 2024: Climbs to #35 (this feature)
- 2026: Steps away to work on SDG 8 & 9

## Where it led

The release looked forward to opening ownership globally. A year later, Robert moved that goal into policy. Under SDG 8.3 he works on making it simpler to start a business by cutting registration steps, paperwork, fees and delays, the outdated roadblocks this release named.
