Robert Nikic on Daily Flash: Why Immigrants Make Great Entrepreneurs

Meet Robert Nikic · Daily Flash · 0:33

On Daily Flash, the nationally syndicated news and entertainment show, Robert Nikic explains why being an immigrant and becoming an entrepreneur go together. His family fled the war in the former Yugoslavia and started over in the United States, and he describes what that taught him: when you're tossed into uncertainty, with nowhere obvious to turn, you're pushed to act, to innovate and to do better for other people as well as yourself.

As an immigrant, you'll find that you just stray away from just wanting to help yourself, wanting to help others, due to the pain, suffering, and just perseverance you've kind of gone through. A lot of, you know, entrepreneurs are really misunderstood, and that's why I believe just being an immigrant and entrepreneurship just have such a strong correlation. You know, when you're tossed in times of uncertainty, like I said, pain, suffering, you know, you look left, you look right, you don't know where to turn, you don't know what to do. Naturally, you're just more so inspired to innovate and more so inspired to just act and do better, not just for yourself, but for other people too.
