My mother was Serbian. My father was Croatian, right? So I know what it's like when two sides are against each other, opposing each other, supposedly, during the war. Yet my dad escaped that war, went to Germany, I was born, and we came to the United States with nothing. So when it comes to where someone's from, I tend to filter that out entirely. I look at people as people. I don't profile people by where they're from. For example, there's a lot of stigma between Serbians and Albanians. You respect me, I respect you. That's the approach I take.
