Robert Nikic on Daily Flash: Why Every Entrepreneur Needs an Emotional Pain Point

Failure as Fuel · Daily Flash · 0:57

Asked on Daily Flash for one piece of advice, Robert Nikic says entrepreneurs need some pain, some suffering and time in the unknown. His own pain point was seeing where his family was after they arrived in America. Most people, he says, are scared of the unknown and don't see their own potential. He was tossed into it, and seeing others succeed without going through the same thing is what drives him.

So if you could give someone one piece of advice, what would it be? How can other entrepreneurs learn from you and your experience? I would say, you know, to a certain degree, you do need to have pain, you need to have suffering, you need to be in the unknown. What was yours along the way? Mine was really, you know, ideally, I'd say one of my pain points was just seeing my family and their position where they were in. You know, when you're an entrepreneur and you're one, you're not there just, you're there for the chase. Sure, but you've got to have an emotional pain point. You have to have something that drives you forward. Most people are really misunderstood. They don't understand the potential that they have, and they're kind of scared to go into the unknown. You see, I was tossed into the unknown. So, ideally, just taking the position of seeing other people strive without having to go through the endurance of what I went through, my family went through, is truly rewarding. And that's really what my drive is.
